Saline Soccer Team Loses First Game of the Season
Huron handed Saline its first loss of the year in varsity soccer action Tuesday night, beating the Hornets 2-1.
Saline junior Rohan Garg opened the scoring with a goal after a free kick by senior captain Andrew Prince.
Huron evened the score later in the first half then pulled ahead late in the second period.
Junior Chris Graber and Senior Liam Foster shared the goalkeeping duties for the Hornets.
Saline's record now stands at 6-1-3 in the conference, and 8-1-6 overall.
The Hornets' junior varsity team fell to Huron 1-0 on a penalty kick awarded as time ran out. Saline's junior varsity record is 10-2-3.
