Alice S. Tonks, age 98, passed away Thursday, Sept. 27, 2012 at the Saline Evangelical Home.
She was born April 18, 1914 in Detroit, the daughter of Edward and Alma (Beutler) Tobler. She married Ray Tonks and he preceded her in death in 1965.
Survivors include her son, Gary (Dena) Tonks of Laughlin, NV, daughter, Dolores Tonks Satterlee of Mt. Pleasant, , daughter-in-law, Jacqueline V. Tonks of Ann Arbor, and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, Sept. 29, 2012 at 10 a.m. at the Robison-Bahnmiller Funeral Home in Saline with the Rev. Laura Speiran, officiating. Inurnment will follow at Forest Hill Cemetery, Ann Arbor. Memorial contributions may be made to the Saline Evangelical Home and envelopes will be available at the funeral home where friends may begin calling on Saturday, Sept. 29, 2012 from 8:00 a.m. until the time of the service.
