Saline Settles for Scoreless Tie at Dexter
The Saline boys’ varsity soccer team might be in an offensive drought. But their defensive play and goaltending has kept them from losing.
Saline tied Dexter 0-0 Thursday at Dexter. Goalies Liam Foster and Chris Graber split the shutout, as they did Monday at Skyline.
The Hornets tied their third straight game and are now 6-0-6 overall.
The junior varsity team beat Dexter 2-0 to improve to 8-1-3. Freshman Collin Cavanaugh deflected a kick from sophomore Jared Walls for Saline’s first goal in the first half. Late in the game, freshman Noah Duncan set up freshman Nate Barnett for the insurance goal.
Saline hosts Lincoln on Oct. 2.
