Saline Fiddlers Conclude Busy Summer

Saline Fiddlers had a busy summer with their Southeast USA Tour, many concert series and festivals including playing in front of almost 10,000 people at the Mitt Romney/Paul Ryan Rally in Commerce Township on Aug. 24 and played with world renowned violin master Mark O'Connor at the Ark in Ann Arbor the next evening.

Saline Fiddlers performed at the first ever Great Lakes State Fair in Novi, Michigan on Monday (Labor Day) September 3rd, 2012. The event was held at the Suburban Collection Showplace. The newly formed Great Lakes State Fair is a revival of the original Michigan State Fair that used to take place in Detroit until 2009. The new Great Lakes State Fair was deemed a success and exceeded expectations for a turnout. Saline Fiddlers wowed the crowd in the Entertainment Tent/Stage.They had a lot of fun checking out the fair too!

The fall schedule for the Saline Fiddlers will keep them busy too. They will be performing everywhere from Grand Rapids, Ohio AppleButter Fest to New Buffalo, Michigan Fine Arts Series this fall. In addition, they will be hosting their 19th annual Hometown Show here in Saline, Michigan at the Saline High School Ellen Ewing Performing Arts Center on Oct. 27.The featured Guest Artist at the Hometown Show will be the award winning bluegrass sensation Lonesome River Band.
