CORONAVIRUS: No New Deaths, One New Hospitalization in Washtenaw County Health Department Data

There were no new deaths and one hospitalization in COVID-19 data updated by the Washtenaw County Health Department Tuesday.

110 Washtenaw County residents have died thus far. 400 residents have been hospitalized.

The number of new lab-confirmed cases increased by 17 to 1,865. The number of recoveries increased by 71 to 1,519.

The number of cases in Saline's 48176 zip code remained at 121.

The State of Michigan reported nine new deaths, which includes four deaths identified during a review of vital records. There have been 6,135 deaths in Michigan thus far.

Hospitalization numbers are rising in Michigan. The number of inpatients is up to 474, the highest since early June. The number of patients in critical care is up to 228, the highest it has been since June 8. The number of patients on ventilators reached 130, the highest it's been in more than one month.

Still those numbers are way down from the numbers in early April (3,986 in patients, 1,570 critical care patients and 1,365 patients on ventilators).
