Mayor Brian Marl interviews Santa after presenting him with a key to the City of Saline at the four corners during the conclusion of the 44th Annual Saline Christmas Parade

It was a great night for a parade.

More than 1,200 people participated in the 44th annual Saline Christmas Parade, presented by the Saline Area Chamber of Commerce. Perhaps even more people were gathered along Michigan Avenue, between Davenport and Lewis streets, to watch the parade.

Radio show host Lucy Ann Lance was the emcee. Grand Marshals were Jim and Alison Robison, of Robison-Bahnmiller Funeral Home. Other honorees in the parade included Citizens of the Year David and Priscilla Olson, Business of the Year A&H Lawn Service, and Lifetime Achievement honoree Fred Schmerberg.

The parade featured performances by the Saline High School Marching Band, a drumline and the traditional kickline routine from the Dance Alliance troupe.
