The theme of the 43rd Annual Saline Christmas Parade is "Let It Snow."

Unfortunately, for the thousands of people planning to participate or watch the annual parade at 5:30 p.m., Saturday, Dec. 1, in downtown Saline, the more accurate theme might be "Rain Drops Keep Falling On My Head."

Despite the forecast for rain - the show will go on.

The Grand Marshal for the parade is Karen Ragland - former Saline Citizen of the Year. Ragland, co-founder of DesignHub, has been instrumental in many community groups including Saline Rotary Club, Saline Main Street, Relay for Life, and the Saline Area Chamber of Commerce.

Emcee, once again, is radio show host and Saline area resident Lucy Ann Lance.

Melanie Fernandez won the Saline Area Chamber of Commerce coloring contest and will ride in the sleigh with Santa.

Immediately after the parade, visit Guaranteed Rate, at 109 E. Michigan Ave., in downtown Saline, to take pictures with Santa.
