Head to downtown Saline Saturday morning for family fun and shopping. After enjoying coffee and donuts at Benny’s Bakery or Carrigan Café, there are a couple of options.
The Saline Farmers Market will be held in the parking lot behind Benny’s, off South Ann Arbor Street. And there should be activity on North Ann Arbor Street, too.
Jen and Zach McPherson celebrate the grand opening of McPherson Local Saturday morning.
The store, located in the former location of the Drowsy Parrot, is open from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Look for organic, locally produced and high quality foods on the shelves in the rustic shop. Watch for raffles throughout the day.
Next door, in the former Detroit Dog space, Sweet Leilani’s could be open, too. On Thursday, owner Sheila Vish and her supporters were working feverishly this week to have the gourmet dessert shop open for this weekend.
