With the help of local donors, Saline Area Social Service is continuing to serve local residents in need.

The community is aiding Saline Area Social Service in several ways, including donations of goods, donations of cash, and volunteering.

Here's a list of goods needed this week:

  • Deli Meat (Prepackaged)
  • Eggs
  • Yogurt
  • Chunky Soup
  • Boxed Side Dishes (noodles, rice, potatoes)
  • Canned Tuna
  • Canned Chicken
  • Canned Vegetables
  • Canned Fruit
  • Canned Soup (not chunky)
  • Canned Stew, Chili and Spam
  • Toilet Paper

Donate goods at Saline Area Social Service, located at the corner of Mills Road and Michigan Avenue. Goods can be delivered from 10 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., Monday, from 10 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday, or from 10 a.m. to noon, Friday and Saturday.

Demand for goods and services has more than doubled with so many people out of work due to the coronavirus pandemic.
