One of the great things about Saline Summerfest, held Aug. 11-12, is grabbing a chicken dinner from a firefighter, sitting down and dining with friends while bands play on the stage.
But there are more active ways to enjoy Summerfest – and for some of those activities, you should register early.
Here’s a list of activities requiring registration:
Saline Street Machines
If you register your classic car or hot rod on the day of the show, it’s $15. If you register ahead of time, it’s $12. Download the pre-registration form here.
The 35th Annual Saline Street Machines Show takes place from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., Aug. 12 on North Ann Arbor Street and McKay Street. Call Larry Weber at 734-429-2817.
The annual volleyball tournament takes place at the Saline Rec Center from 9:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. Final registration is at 9 a.m., but pre-registration is encouraged, because it’s limited to the first eight paid teams.
Cost is $12 per team. Teams should have no more than four men and at least one woman.
There may also be a youth division of enough teams participate. Contact Bradley Schwartz at 734-260-0686.
