Saline Area Schools Spring Art Festival

What: Saline Area Schools Spring Art Festival

When:  Friday, May 11th from 4 p.m to 8 p.m. (Reception 6 p.m. to 8 p.m.); Saturday, May 12th from 1 p.m. to 8 p.m.; Sunday, May 13th from 1 p.m. to 8 p.m.

Where:  Wrestling Room, Saline High School 1300 Campus Pkwy, Saline, MI 48176

Why: Celebrate Saline student artists and walk through the gallery of artwork from students in grades K-12. 

Cost: Free

Fiddlers On The Roof @ Zingerman’s Deli

What: Dinner and a show at Zingerman’s Delicatessen, featuring Saline Fiddlers Philharmonic

When:  Friday, May 11th from 5:30 p.m. to 7:15 p.m.

Where:  Zingerman’s Delicatessen, 422 Detroit St., Ann Arbor

Why: Order a Reuben and grab a front-row seat as musicians from Saline High School put on an energetic and polished performance from Zingerman’s rooftop patio that features a diverse range of music from American folk, fiddle, bluegrass, jazz, western swing and Celtic traditions.

STRIVE Movie Night @ Hornet Stadium Featuring Zootopia

What: Family Movie Night at Hornet Stadium, Featuring Zootopia

When:  Friday, May 11th at 8:00 p.m..

Where:  Hornet Stadium, Saline High School 1300 Campus Pkwy, Saline, MI 48176

Why: Bring your blankets or lawn chairs and enjoy an outdoor movie.  Sponsored by STRIVE (Students Reinvesting in a Valuable Education). Food and games start at 8 p.m., movie starts at 8:30 p.m.

Cost: $5.  Proceeds will be donated to Save The Children.

My Trivia Live @ Maplewood Lanes

What: Free Trivia

When:  Friday, May 11th at 9 p.m. to 11 p.m.

Where:  Maplewood Lanes, 830 Woodland Dr, Saline, MI

Why:  1st, 2nd ,and 3rd place winners walk out with gift cards and the chance to win the jackpot gift card.

Saline Outdoor Farmers’ Market

What: Saline Outdoor Farmers’ Market

When: Saturday, May 12th at 8 a.m. to 12 noon

Where: Downtown Saline, in parking lot 1/2 block south of Michigan Av and S. Ann Arbor St

Why: A one-stop shop for local flowers, plants, produce, baked goods, meats, cheese, eggs, honey, chocolates candles, jewelry, crafts and more.

Kite Flying Day

What: Fly a kite at Montibeller Park

When:  Saturday, May 12th at 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Where: Montibeller Park, 4305 Ellsworth Road, Ypsilanti

Why: Come on out and enjoy flying a kite!  Kids 10 and under will receive a free kite kit (some assembly required).

11th Annual Farm Festival by Braun & Helmer Auction Service

What: 11th Annual Farm Festival, presented by Braun and Helmer Auction Service with Washtenaw Farm Council

When:  Saturday May 12th at 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

WhereWashtenaw Co. Fairgrounds, 5055 Ann Arbor Saline Rd.

Why: Rain or shine, this festival has activities for everyone in your family.  Just a few of the highlights include an auction, a tractor & engine show, tractor pull, flea market, kids free pedal pull, lawn & garden section, working displays and much, much more.

Ann Arbor Ballroom Showcase - Dance Party & Dinner Show

What: Ballroom Dance Party & Dinner Show, hosted by Ann Arbor Ballroom

When:  Saturday, May 12th at 6:00 p.m.

Where:  Tri-County Sportsmen's League, 8640 Moon Road

Why: Enjoy an evening filled with dinner, music and dancing.  Dance party music will be provided by John Solitare and highlights will include performances from the Ann Arbor Ballroom Showcase.
