Senior Classic Movie @ Emagine Theater

What: Senior Classic Movie will be showing Some Like It Hot

When: Friday, May 4th at 1:30 p.m.

Where: Emagine Theatre, 1335 E. Michigan Avenue in Saline

Why: Start your weekend plans a little early on Friday afternoon by watching a classic movie in comfortable recliner seats!

Fiddler on the Roof

What: Fiddler on the Roof

When: Friday, May 4th at 7:00 p.m. and Saturday, May 5th at 7:00 p.m.

Where: Washtenaw Christian Academy, 7200 Moon Rd, Saline, MI 48176

Why:  Enjoy this classic performed by the Washtenaw Christian Academy Upper School Drama Department.  The story of Fiddler on the Roof centers on Tevye, the father of five daughters, and his attempts to maintain his Jewish religious and cultural traditions as outside influences encroach upon the family's lives.

Saline Outdoor Farmers’ Market

What: Saline Outdoor Farmers’ Market

When: Saturday, May 5th at 8 a.m. to 12 noon

Where: Downtown Saline, in parking lot 1/2 block south of Michigan Av and S. Ann Arbor St

Why: A one-stop shop for local flowers, plants, produce, baked goods, meats, cheese, eggs, honey, chocolates candles, jewelry, crafts and more.

Just Between Friends Ann Arbor Spring 18 Sale

What: Just Between Friends (JBF) Ann Arbor Spring 2018 Sale

When:  Saturday May 5th at 9 a.m. and Sunday, May 6th at 2 p.m.

WhereWashtenaw Co. Fairgrounds Buildings C & D, 5055 Ann Arbor Saline Rd.

Why: JBF is a huge kids' consignment sale event. Over 200 local families drop off their gently used items to be sold, department style, to other community families

Cost: $3 on Saturday, Free admission on Sunday.

Saline Depot Museum

What: Saline Depot Museum

When:  Saturday, May 5th at 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.

Where:  Saline Depot Museum, 402 N. Ann Arbor Street, Saline, MI

Why: Take a step back in time to check out the inside of the red caboose or venture into the Depot and look through historical collections, including a newspaper display, a women’s display and a historic wedding collection.  The railroad lights are also blinking during open hours.

Rentschler Farm Museum

What: Saline Depot Museum

When:  Saturday, May 5th at 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.

Where:  Rentschler Farm Museum, 1265 E Michigan Ave, Saline, MI

Why: Tour Emanuel Rentschler's farm, purchased in 1904 at auction. See everything from the house and outbuildings to machines and tools. Children can enjoy the animals and help with harvesting the garden vegetables.

Vintage Button Jewelry with Krista Moss

What: Krista Moss Vintage Button Jewelry pop up event. 

When:  Saturday, May 5th at 1 p.m.

Where:  McPherson’s Local, 105 N Ann Arbor St, Saline, MI

Why: Krista’s will be featuring a large assortment of her design collection. All of her pieces feature antique and vintage buttons and are carefully crafted by hand.

Why: Enjoy a hearty breakfast of eggs, pancakes, sausage, bacon and more.

Flying Trunk Stories at McPherson Local

What: Flying Trunk Stories event for ages 5-8.

When:  Sunday, May 6th at 12:30 p.m. to 1:30 p.m.

Where:  McPherson’s Local, 105 N Ann Arbor St, Saline, MI

Why: Trunk Stories are personalized stories for children that they receive in the mail along with vintage treasures and trinkets that go along with the tales.  During this event, the Postmistress will tell a tale about The Button Man and delight audiences with her magical whimsy.

Why: A family-friendly event that showcases local government through engaging activities.  A free AAATA shuttle will take visitors to each of the township buildings, and just a few of the many activities include kids crafts, a bike blender, police cars and fire trucks, a photobooth and scavenger hunt.
