Following the success of its inaugural event last year, the First United Methodist Church of Saline will host its 2017 Craft & Vendor Show on Saturday, October 14 from 9:00am to 2:00pm.
In a county renowned for its regional and national art expositions, it's reasonable to ask what this this fair adds to the mix.
A key value is in its size and pace. Organizers emphasize an environment that lends itself to discovery and serendipity.
As The Saline Post reported previously, the 2016 Craft & Vendor Show featured approximately three dozen exhibitors. Many were first time offerings, which meant that visitors had the chance to see and purchase items never before displayed. Niche crafters had an opportunity to stand out. Conversations between curious buyers and enthusiastic sellers are more leisurely.
As part of our own commitment to the community, d2 Saline tends to exhibit in shows that provide increased opportunity for local connection. We had a table here last year and we will be doubling the size of our presence at First United Methodist Church on October 14.
