The Saline District Library is offering a series of informational programs that invite people to listen to experts from local agencies speak about timely topics.
The programs take place in the Brecon Room at noon on Wednesdays. Guests are invited to bring a sack lunch.
Nutrition. Feb. 19, 12 p.m. Vitamin deficiencies, drug interactions, and inflating food costs are just some of the challenges adults face as they age. Huron Valley PACE will share tips and strategies for creating nutritious and budget friendly meals.
What you need to know about PFAS. March 11, 12 p.m. Jennifer Conn, Public Health Engineer for the Washtenaw County Health Department, will discuss where drinking water comes from, common drinking water contaminants including PFAS chemicals, and how they get into the environment. Senior bullying. April 15, 12 p.m. What are the warning signs and impacts of bullying on older adults? What are the factors that lead to bullying and what can you as a victim or bystander do? Representatives of Catholic Social Services of Washtenaw County and the Elder Law and Advocacy Center Neighborhood Legal Services will answer these questions and more. Register here.
