Starting to craft in 2012, it was only a short time before RICH FIDLER was named in the top Ten Christmas Gifts in the Detroit area by the Huffington Post in 2013. He started this career because he was a record collector and his work has been inspired from his love of music. “I started on a fluke….I made a template for the 45 adapter shape out of plywood, spray painted it black….and one day, I realized I could cut that shape out of a record. He quickly recognized the memories and importance of record labels, and the use of vinyl records in a “2nd life” as a wall clock, framed picture or a variety of other creations. Even if not perfect, Rich feels these LP records provide a great basis for his creations for your home décor. Having perfected the process and finding appropriate equipment to work with vinyl, Rich continues to take pride in these special pieces. In a show in TN, he met Jim Horn, a member of the “Wrecking Crew” that played horns in over 12,000 recordings. “He spent hours in my booth,” and as a musician, Rich was honored with this visit. Come meet this talented musician and now artisan in Booth 22 on November 9th at the Saline Craft Show.
