Director McNiel Provides Updates on Projects

Here's what Saline's DPW is working on these days, according to Department of Public Services Director Brandon McNiel. McNiel made a short presentation at the request of council at Monday's meeting.

Asphalt Patches

The city spent part of last week working on asphalt patches needed after water main breaks and other repairs. It was expected the repairs would be finished by Aug. 19.

DTE/Corby 

The DTE/Corby work on Harris Street was scheduled to be finished two weeks from Aug. 18. DTE/Corby work on North Ann Arbor should be just about complete, and the property will be restored within two weeks.

Key Bank

Sewer work was being done at Key Bank. Aphalt was expected to be done on Aug. 17. The sidewalk has been closed for nearly a month.

Concrete Work

Concrete work was needed in front of Baker's Nook. In addition. A fire hydrant was replaced at Clark Apartments.

Fiber Optic

Fiber Optic work was beginning in front of a business by the alley at Mac's Seafood shack.

Monroe Street

Work at Monroe Street and Macon Road is expected to done mid-to-late next week.
