The January spring fling is over.
Tuesday’s forecast calls for a high of 47 by about 2 p.m. But from there, the temperature will fall precipitously and we might not see above freezing temperatures again until next Monday. Expect partly cloudy skies Tuesday with winds picking up in the mid-afternoon.
Sunrise is at 8:03 a.m. and sunset is at 5:20 p.m.
Here are some of the events in town Tuesday.
In Saline High School Sports:
Jan. 8 is National Joy Germ Day. National Joy Germ Day was created as a day to remind people across the country that by being positive and treating people with kindness, they can influence those around them and pass that positiveness on to others, impacting the lives of people and even those that we do not even have direct contact with.
On this day in history, in 1656, the oldest surviving commercial newspaper began in Haarlem, Netherlands. In 1790, President George Washington gave his first state of the union. In 1835 the US national debt was $0 for the first and only time in history.
Here’s a picture and to the Saline Reporter in 2009.

And now, a quick review of Jan. 7.
