Saline Area Schools Announce Finalist for Principal Posts, Public Interviews Monday

Saline Area Schools have announced the finalists for the principal positions at Saline Middle School and Pleasant Ridge Elementary School.

Matt Ceo, Musetta Deneen, Alex Schukow and Andy Zimmer the finalists at Saline Middle School. Megan DeGrand, Kenyatta Hughes, Melanie Nowak and Sherry Soenen are the finalists at Pleasant Ridge.

The public will be invited to watch interviews and provide feedback to school officials during the Zoom calls.

The Saline Middle School forum begins at 7 p.m.  The Pleasant Ridge forum is at 5:30 p.m. Candidates will be asked questions by a moderator. Viewers will receive a link to provide their feedback.

There were 20 candidates interviewed for the Saline Middle School job and 16 candidates interviewed for the Pleasant Ridge Elementary School job.

Alex Schukow, a Saline High School graduate, is assistant principal at Middle School. Matt Ceo, a former Saline teacher and Saline High School graduate, is assistant principal of Beach Middle School in Chelsea. Musetta Deneen is
Assistant School Leader at FlexTech High School in Brighton and previously taught Spanish in the World Language Department in Ann Arbor Public Schools. Andy Zimmer is middle school director for Emerson School in Ann Arbor.

Megan DeGrand is Dean of Student Services at Heritage Elementary School in Saline. Kenyatta Hughes is principal at Beacon Elementary School in the Harper Woods School District. Melanie Nowak is principal of Tecumseh East and West STEAM Center Building. Sherry Soenen is Multi-Tiered System of Support Coordinator at Pleasant Ridge Elementary School.
