Real Estate Report: Saline's Real Estate Market Roars Back to Life
Real estate sales in Saline seem to have rebounded after dismal numbers in March and April.
Numbers for July show 17 sales for a total of $5,049,697. In July of 2019 there were 31 sales for $7,981,413.
But reporting of real estate transactions are delayed. For example, in early July, a review of June's sales showed 15 sales for $3,880,798. Reviewing June's sales in August now shows 21 sales for $6,107,124.
That compares well with the data for June of 2019, which shows 20 sales for $6,072,686.
It's the first time since the COVID-19 pandemic we've seen real estate sales in 2020 top the same month in 2019.
In May 2019, there were 22 sales for $8,599,826. One of those sales was the IMI building at 1325 Woodland Drive for $2,801,655. But even without that, there were 21 sales for $5,798,171. In May of 2020 there were six sales for $1,670,701. Even taking out the industrial property, 2020 sales were just 28.8 percent of 2019 sales.
The final tally for April of 2020 was $5,014,000, about 56 percent of the $9 million in sales in 2019
