Saline High School HIstory Teacher Receives Honor

On May 4, 2023 Mr. Jason Gumenick received the DAR Outstanding American History Teacher Award from the Sarah Caswell Angell chapter, Daughters of the American Revolution. Hired at Saline High School in 1999, Saline High School Principal Ms. Theresa Stager stated that Mr. Gumenick expects high quality from all of his students and helps them find excellence in themselves. He relates history to modern life and events and fosters a spirit of patriotism. Mr. Gumenick puts a major focus on how students will apply knowledge of our history when they exit the classroom.
