Amazing Auction to Raise Money for ChadTough!

This post expresses the views and opinions of the author(s) and not necessarily that of The Saline Post management or staff.

Who could have imagined we could come this far as a community?

We lost our son, Chad Carr, in 2015. Some days I wake up, and it’s still hard to believe.

But in those years, we have somehow managed to make a difference through the ChadTough Defeat DIPG Foundation, funding more research than we ever thought possible. And it’s making a difference in the lives of other families who are going through what we went through. That matters.

Our annual auction is now live and features an array of experiences and coveted memorabilia. From private meetings with coaches to unique game-watching opportunities, over 300 items are listed, including several Michigan Wolverines-specific offerings. These items are open to the public until 8pm Saturday night!. Proceeds will support research on diffuse intrinsic pontine glioma (DIPG), a pediatric brain tumor, and the leading cancer killer among kids.

Among the many Wolverines-related items available for bidding are a replica national championship trophy signed by quarterback J.J. McCarthy and a jersey signed by him and other stars from the previous season’s team. Additionally, there's a range of experiences, including meetings with various Michigan coaches and the opportunity to experience a day as a Michigan football recruit.

Beyond Michigan sports, the auction features items and experiences related to other colleges and professional teams, travel, electronics, art, and more. Notable offerings include a chance to fly with the Detroit Pistons to a road game and stay in the team hotel, as well as a guitar signed by Taylor Swift.

The best part? You can join in from the comfort of your own home. The entire auction is online, so gather your friends and family, bid on your favorites, and let's come together to support this incredible cause that will change the lives of families facing the most devastating form of childhood cancer.

Check out items here and help make a difference for families in the fight!
