Crazy costumes are not required. But they're strong suggested for participants in the inaugural Mastodon Mayhem Challenge, a fun run/obstacle course sevent that takes place July 13, during the Saline Celtic Festival at Mill Pond Park.

The Mastodon Mayhem Challenge is presented by Saline Main Street and Saline Parks and Recreation.
Mastodon Mayhem Challenge is billed as a fun, challenging obstacle course designed to push participants to their limit. It features various obstacles set up along a three-mile course including hills, mud, woods, water, and much more! It will be held just before the Opening Ceremonies of the wildly popular Celtic Festival.
Check in will take place from 7 a.m. to 8 a.m. and the race will begin at 8 a.m. Cost is $45 per person, which also pays for entry into the Celtic Festival, a tatoo, t-shirt, bag check and beverage token.
