Saline's varsity lacrosse team (7-4) scored 7 goals in the first quarter and never looked back, defeating Bedford 20-2.
Lots of Hornets figured into the scoring.
Brett Braun and Tyler Schaefer (4 goals, 5 ground balls) each scored four goals. Tommy Hickey (3 goals, 3 assists and 2 ground balls) and Sam Ozminkowski (3 goals, 1 assists, 4 ground balls) each scored three goals. Tom Needham scored two goals and was 5-0 on faceoffs. Nick Karapas, Jay Graden, Daniel Kosek (1 goal, 3 assists, 3 ground balls) and Zach Cameron also scored for Saline.
Mark Hoffman went 8-1 on faceoffs.
Cameron Peters and Aaron Drenski each picked up four ground balls.
Tyler Cowen and Tyler Medvec split goaltending duties for Saline.
The Hornets host Troy at noon Saturday.
