The annual celebration of community, agriculture, and tradition, recently concluded with much success despite a few challenging weather days. The Saline Community Fair Board of Directors would like to extend our heartfelt appreciation to the sponsors, exhibitors, vendors, patrons and dedicated volunteers who all helped to make this year’s event a memorable experience.
Our heartfelt thanks to the hundreds of community members who volunteered during the 2024 Saline Community Fair! The Fair also greatly appreciates the more than ninety-five sponsors and in-kind contributors to the fair! A record number of volunteers worked tirelessly during the week of the fair setting up displays, taking entries, running events, monitoring exhibits, driving shuttles, taking tickets, helping in the office, and cleaning grandstands among countless other tasks.
We especially would like to thank the Fair Board of Directors and their families, Directors Emeriti, and superintendents, Saline Area Schools and many of the clubs, Saline Boy Scouts, the Saline Rotary Club, the Washtenaw County Farm Bureau, the Saline Junior Livestock Association, local businesses and individuals, local organizations, as well as the community for their support. The fair would not be possible without our sponsors also and our patrons.
The Saline Community Fair is a success because of our volunteers and community support. If you'd like to help with the fair or provide a sponsorship in 2025, please contact mysalinefair@yahoo.com. See you at the 2025 Saline Community Fair!
You lost us at "when I first voted for Trump". No credibility after that.
From someone who likely supported:
* Abusing the justice system to go after opponents
* Suspsended rights during COVID
* Lied about the origin of COVID
* Lied about the treatment of COVID
* Pretended every positive test for a virus was a COVID case
Supported? What an insane leap. Must say somewhat surprised to see you are a supporter of ridiculous conspiracy theories. You are wrong about us and wrong about much of what is on that little list.
Sunny, with a high of 87 and low of 66 degrees. Partly Cloudy in the morning, patchy rain nearby for the afternoon and evening, clear overnight.
Appreciate the interest in serving Saline. At this point, looks as though he will win by acclimation. Wonder what would happen if there were more candidates than spots. Without understanding why, it would be difficult to support a candidate who withdrew their interest then popped back in last minute.
As you can see by the picture, Bret is active in the city events and gives countless hours to his community.
Apparently no one can work with the current mayor?
We see that a little differently. Plenty of folks who are working just fine with the current Mayor. Unfortunately, there are others who are small in number yet loud and vocal who seem to delight in spreading unfounded and ridiculous allegations and rumors, and not just regarding the Mayor.
Nice of the attorneys to clarify this language at this point rather than having the foresight to understand that language should never have been in the agreement to start with!
Perhaps the Township should have sought counsel from an attorney not involved in the original contract negotiations (and perhaps they did - do not know) before changing direction.
Final thought - perhaps the attorney(s) working with the Township on the agreement can provide an explanation as to why that language HAD to be as represented in the final version of the agreement/why protections against exactly what has happened were not put in place.
