William "Wild Bill" Royce, 84, Served in US Army, Retired from Postal Service

William Joseph Royce “Wild Bill”, age 84, passed away on Friday, March 6, 2020 at the St. Joseph Mercy Hospital with his daughter by his side.

He was born on November 15, 1935 in Ann Arbor, MI, the son of Joseph A. and Beulah B. (Miller) Royce.

On July 14, 1958 in Kalamazoo, MI, Bill married Georgia Jean Miles and she preceded him in death. Bill served in the United States Army and retired from the United States Postal Service in Ann Arbor, MI.

Survivors include his daughters Sherrie (Jerry) Hill of Saline, Julie Royce of Fountain Inn, South Carolina, and Becky Hughlett of Magnolia, TX. Other survivors include his sister Linda Eileen (Royce) Smith of Wheatland, Missouri, brother and sister-in-law Robert (Roberta) Miles of Otsego, MI, sister-in-law Mary Ann Eaton of Portage, MI, 11 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren, several cousins, and friends.

Bill was preceded in death by his wife of 56 years, one grandson, two great-grandsons, his mother Beulah Miller, and his father Arthur Royce.
