Bedford learned the hard way that Saline is worthy of its recent ranking as the second best MHSAA Division boys’ lacrosse team.
Saline defeated Bedford, 20-2, Monday at Saline High School. Three Hornets scored the hat trick – Tanyr Krummenacher, Connor Martin and Pete Jacobsen. Four more Hornets scored two apiece – Evan Peoples, Kyle Nyitray Gavin Klaassen and Jack Eberts. Also scoring were Brady Potter, Jeff Inge, George Gatecliff and Chris Peters. Klaasen added three assists while Devin Sears recorded two assists. Martin and Cade Gilless led Saline with four ground balls apiece.
Saline, 6-1, is ranked second overall in the MHSAA Division 1 boys lacrosse poll released Sunday. Birmingham Brother Rice, 9-0, is the top ranked Division 1 team.
