Tecumseh edged Saline, 118.525-114.750 in varsity gymnastics competition held Thursday at Saline High School.
Tecumseh’s advantage came on the uneven bars, where they outscored Saline 27.75 to 22.425
In the vault, Tecumseh started out to a small lead, 31.85-31.625. Sarah McLaughlin led Saline with a score of 8.150. Also scoring were Megan Mulligan, 8.05, Alena Miklosovic, 7.8, and Cady Schorr, 7.625.
Tecumseh expanded its lead on the uneven bars. Mulligan paced Saline with a score of 7.3. Also scoring were McLaughlin, 6.1, Miklosovic, 4.6, and Madeline Hornyac, 4.425.
Saline made up a little ground on the balance beam, where they held a 28.7-28.45 advantage. Mulligan once again led Saline, and also finished ahead of the Tecumseh gymnasts, with a score of 8.875. Also scoring were Miklosovic, 7.1, McLaughlin, 6.95, and Ali Burlingame, 5.75.
The Hornets closed the gap even more in the final exercise. Saline held a 32-30.475 advantage. Mulligan was Saline’s leader and finished ahead of Tecumseh’s gymnasts with a score of 8.65. McLaughlin was second at 8.350. They were followed by Miklosovic, 7.825, and Hornyak, 7.175.

Moderate rain, with a high of 72 and low of 51 degrees. Overcast in the morning, thundery outbreaks in nearby for the afternoon and evening, partly cloudy overnight.
Interesting. As the schools are funded by tax-payer dollars, "the people" paid for that report . . . . and it has to do with our public/publicly funded schools. Hard to understand why the Board is deciding to and/or thinks they can keep it private. Disappointing (to put it mildly) and concerning.
