Saline Area Players Provide Many Theater Opportunities in October

October is just around the corner and a very busy month for Saline Area Players.  On October 4, they will perform a short show entitled Country Hoedown Jamboree at Rentschler Farm during Harvest Time on the Farm.  The admission to the farm is $1/adults  (children free) and it is open from 12-5:00.  Saline Area players will perform twice in the barn, at 1:00 & 3:30 PM. Come enjoy a family show that includes country-themed songs, skits and corny jokes, in the style of the TV show Hee Haw.  And, take time to enjoy the animals, play lawn games and take a wagon ride.

October 12 & 13 are the audition dates for SAP’s Christmas show entitled Yes, Virginia, There is a Santa Claus based on the letter that was written years ago.  Auditions start both nights at 7:00 and registration starts at 6:30 PM.  Auditions consist of theater games, singing familiar Christmas carols, and cold readings from the script.  Parts are available for all ages and it is a wonderful opportunity to do something together as a family!

The last two weekends of the month, October 16-18 & 23-25, Saline Area Players will bring back another Halloween-themed dinner theater.  Last year’s event sold out, so don’t delay in getting tickets.  The show, Murder & Mayhem at Mangiamo, is an interactive dinner theater murder mystery that will take place at Mangiamo Italian Grill, 107 W. Michigan, Saline.  Guests are encouraged to come in costume (not required).  They attend a Halloween party during which someone is murdered.  The audience must figure out who did it … and how.  Tickets are $40 and include the show and the dinner buffet.  There will be a cash bar.

Full information for these events are on the Saline Area Players website: www.salineareaplayers.org
