Chamber Seeking Events and Communications Coordinator

Position: Events & Communications Coordinator
Location: Saline Area Chamber of Commerce
Hours: Part-time/Flexible

Key Responsibilities:
βœ… Assist in planning and executing 2–4 events per month
βœ… Create and manage meeting agendas and correspondence
βœ… Engage with members via email, phone and social media to build relationships
βœ… Create promotional pieces and e-blasts in Constant Contact
βœ… Segment member communications by interest areas
βœ… Draft and distribute press releases for events
βœ… Coordinate and collaborate with event volunteers

Qualifications:

  • Associate degree, Bachelor degree preferred
  • 3-5 years’ experience
  • Strong organizational and communication skills
  • Creative mindset with an eye for design and detail
  • Proactive and able to manage multiple projects
  • Familiarity with Canva, Constant Contact, and event management tools a plus
  • Experience creating social media content
  • Ability to build relationships and work collaboratively with the Board, Chamber members, sponsors, and volunteers
