Saline Area Social Service Expands Support with New Microenterprise Training Program

Saline, MI — 10/13/2025 — Saline Area Social Service (SASS) is proud to announce the launch of a new training initiative designed to help individuals and families move toward economic self-sufficiency. The program is open to anyone in the Saline area community. More than a food pantry, SASS is expanding its impact by offering microenterprise training that provides practical tools and skills for those looking to build their own small businesses.

Thanks to the continuous generosity of the community in meeting food needs, SASS is now focusing on programs that leave a lasting impact. The new training series will support participants in developing business skills that can help generate income and long-term stability. The next class in November, will be taught by Karen Tuttle of klizaDESIGN, and will focus on marketing a small business and building a one-page website.

The program is made possible through partnership and support of the Saline Chamber of Commerce. Together, the organizations aim to empower individuals with the knowledge and confidence to move beyond immediate needs and toward sustainable success.
