Saline Area Social Service to Host Free Career Development Workshops for Southeast Michigan Job Seekers

SALINE, MI — February 19, 2026 — Saline Area Social Service (SASS) will host a series of free career development workshops this March, offering Southeast Michigan residents direct access to professional job-search guidance, workforce resources, and educational opportunities designed to strengthen long-term employment outcomes.

The workshops will take place March 2, 9, and 16 from 5:30 to 7:00 p.m. at First Presbyterian Church of Saline, 143 E Michigan Ave, Saline, MI 48176. Each session will be led by a career coach with recruiting expertise who will provide actionable instruction on job-search strategy, resume and cover letter development, interview preparation, and career planning. Participants will also receive information on continuing education programs available through Washtenaw Community College.

The initiative underscores SASS’s commitment to expanding access to workforce development resources while addressing immediate and long-term needs within the community. By pairing expert instruction with no-cost participation, the organization aims to remove barriers for job seekers and reach as many residents as possible.

Saline Area Social Service is a 100 percent community-funded nonprofit organization serving more than 600 individuals annually. Its primary services include food assistance and emergency aid for families residing within the Saline Area School District, as well as families living outside Saline whose children attend Saline Area Schools. In the past year alone, SASS distributed more than $348,241 in food and paper product donations and connected clients to a wide network of community resources addressing financial, physical, emotional, and informational needs.
