We are looking to start an informal theatre group at SASC. No experience required, just a desire to have fun. Here’s your chance to try some techniques of dramatic reading in an encouraging atmosphere – soliloquies, monologues, duos, readers theater. Let’s explore classic favorites, poetry, narratives of all kinds, it’s all about the pleasure of bringing literature to life. If you have an interest, come to the intro meeting, and if you cannot attend please leave your name at the front desk, as we will begin programming this for late fall. Eva is a retired educator with a Master’s in Communication Arts, with a Theatre specialty. Register at the front desk or online: https://sasc.recdesk.com/Community/Program/Detail?programId=2645
Free to members! One of the benefits of being an SASC member is access to so many free programs, for a nominal yearly fee! See membership rates here: https://www.salineseniors.org/membership

Overcast , with a high of 27 and low of 16 degrees. Overcast in the morning, partly cloudy in the afternoon and evening, overcast overnight.
I have to commend the Saline City manager and engineer for keeping their cool and for their professionalism during the three hour Mill Pond Dam town hall meeting.
I think what's insulting is that the city is bloating the numbers to bolster their case.
Logically, the dam has no practical use. Of course, it's going to cost more. Of course, there's a level of risk there. Of course, over some period of time, it's going to cost more to maintain than a stream.
Life cycle cost analysis is certainly appropriate when considering new assets, but it may not be as appropriate when evaluating existing assets.
