Deputies Investigate Home Invasions in York Township
Washtenaw County Sheriff’s Office Deputies are investigating two home invasions that took place Sept. 28 in York Township.
The incidents occurred on the 8200 block of Fosdick Road and 9000 block of South Pheasant Road between 7:45 a.m. and 1:30 p.m. No one was home during the times of the incidents. In both cases, entry was gained into the rear of the residences. Various valuables taken, including a safe in one of the incidents.
Neighboring Pittsfield Township Police are also investigating a similar incident that occurred in their jurisdiction.

- Get motion sensors for lights
- Set timers for indoor lights
- Reinforce strike plate on doors
- Shield windows near doors
- Install deadbolts
- Lock all doors and windows
- Install and always set a home alarm
- Get a dog
- Know your neighbors
- Join neighborhood watch
