James Wiegand II Passes Away at 54
James H. Wiegand II, age 54, of Saline, passed away at his home on Friday, March 1, 2013. He was born November 20, 1958, in Utica, MI, the son of James Harold and Kathryn Leilani (Lenzi) Wiegand.
He graduated from Eisenhower High School in Utica, and was a member of the high school swim team as well as being on the Eastern Michigan University swim team. Jim was also a member of the Sigma Rho fraternity at Michigan Tech and was also a member of the Professional Engineers Society. He was also a car enthusiast and owned a 1965 Mustang Pony.
Survivors include his children, Jim Wiegand III, Jacqueline (Stephen) Wiegers and Jared Wiegand and their mother, Betty Brodnan, Nicholas Wiegand and his mother Marion DuPont and Isabella and Vincent Wiegand and their mother, Sharon Lewis, his father, James H. Wiegand, sister, Kate (John) Driscoll and his brother, Rich (Sherry) Wiegand and he was also the uncle to Margaret and Peter Driscoll and Benjamin (who was also his Godson) and Victoria Wiegand. He was preceded in death by his mother and his grandparents.
Cremation has taken place. Visitation will be on Tuesday, March 5, 2013 from 5 to 8 p.m. at the Robison-Bahnmiller Funeral Home 301 E. Michigan Ave., Saline and also on Wednesday, March 6, 2013 from 10 a.m. until the time of the Mass of the Resurrection at 11 a.m. at St. Andrew the Apostle Catholic Church 910 Austin Drive, Saline with the Rev. Fr. David B. Rosenberg, celebrant. In lieu of flowers, memorials contributions may be made to the family and envelopes will be available at the funeral home and the church.
