Eleanor Wiedmayer, 77, Helped at the Saline Fair and Volunteered at the Hospital
Eleanor M.Wiedmayer, of Saline, age 77, passed away on Saturday, December 15, 2012 at Arbor Hospice Residence, Pittsfield Twp.
She was born April 4, 1935 in Pigeon, the foster daughter of Fred and Nina (Riley) Arend of Saline. She graduate from Saline High School and worked for the Saline Savings Bank (now Comerica Bank) until her marriage to Norman R. Wiedmayer on July 19, 1958, then helping with his business until he passed away on April 7, 2003. She was a member of St. James United Church of Christ in Saline Twp.
Eleanor enjoyed crafts, bowling, crocheting, pretzel making and helping at the Saline Community Fair and volunteering at the Saline Hospital Auxiliary.
She is survived by two nephews, Larry (Margaret) Wiedmayer of Grass Lake, Richard (Janet) Wiedmayer of Ann Arbor, one niece, Alice (Richard) Teutsch of Naperville, IL, two Godchildren, Daniel Arend of Saline and Amanda Conger, and several great-nieces and great-nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, two foster brothers, Bruce Arend and Lewis O’Mara.
Cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be held on Friday, December 21, 2012 at 11 a.m. at the Robison-Bahnmiller Funeral Home, Saline with the Rev. Wallace Tatara, officiating. Burial will follow at St. James Church Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the St. James United Church of Christ and envelopes will be available at the funeral home where friends may begin calling on Friday, December 21, 2012 from 10 a.m. until the time of the service.
