Test Drive a Dodge and Support SHS Cross Country

Saline High School Cross Country will host a Dodge Booster Club Fundraiser as part of the Saline cross country Run-A-Thon being held at the Saline Middle School Track on Aug, 20.

Dodge will make a $20 donation to the Saline High School cross country team for each person who takes a short test drive at the event. LaFontaine Chrysler will have the new Dodge Durango, Journey and Grand Caravan at the event for participants to inspect and drive. Dealership personnel will volunteer their time to assist with the fundraising drives. Anyone age 18, or over, with a valid driver’s license, may drive and earn a donation. Driving times are from 5 to 8 p.m.

“The Dodge events are a lot of fun,” said Mike Smith, Saline cross country girls' coach, “We are really pleased to have this opportunity from Dodge to push our fundraising goal over the top! People may not know it, but Dodge has been supporting schools in the communities where the company does business for many years.”

According to a press release, since 1993, Dodge has helped raise an estimated $4 million for local schools with test drive programs like the Dodge Booster Club Fundraiser.

“The whole community is invited to join us at the Saline Cross Country Run-A-Thon," Smith said. “Look for the colorful Dodge tent. Take a short test drive in the Dodge of your choice, help the Saline High School Cross Country team and cheer on our athletes.”
