CORONAVIRUS: No New Deaths and One Hospitalization in Friday's Data, No New Deaths for the Week

There were no new deaths within COVID-19 data updated by the Washtenaw County Health Department Friday. The number of deaths in the county stands at 109. The number of hospitalizations increased by one to 405.

The number of lab-confirmed cases increased by seven to 1,915 - the lowest single weekday increase reported this month. Recoveries jumped by 19 to 1,593.

None of the new cases were in Saline's 48176 zip code, which has had 128 cases.

The Friday-to-Friday data was improved in every area:

  • A confirmed case increase of eight in Saline's 48176, down from 16 last week.
  • There were no new deaths in Washtenaw County, to two last week.
  • There were eight hospitalizations in Washtenaw County, down from 10 last week.
  • There were 120 lab-confirmed and 145 recoveries, compared to 148 cases and 100 recoveries last week.

Today's data in the State of Michigan showed three new COVID-19 deaths, bringing the total to 6,151. The number of new confirmed cases increased by 594. Hospitalization numbers declined for the second straight day. Inpatients fell by 12 to 481. Critical care patients fell by 17 to 197. The number of patients on ventilators fell by seven to 113.
