The Saline Police Department sought trespassing charges against a 21-year-old Saline man accused of photographing and making lewd remarks about young girls in their west-side neighborhood.

Police were called to Whitlock Street on June 10 by a man who was asked by the 21-year-old if his 13-year-old daughter could come back to his home. The young man was ordered to leave. He went down the block and asked two neighbors if their seven-year-old daughter could go to his house and search for rocks with him. According to both parents, the man told them he would not have sex with her until she was 10 years old.

Neighbors also reported the man has come to their home and photographed their children in their backyards and yelled things at them as the rode their bikes down the road. He's also tried to entice other children to his home, saying he lived in a "magical kingdom."

They ordered him off their property and told him to never return.

Police arrived and found the young man sitting in a pane-less window frame.

He was told never to return to the homes or take pictures of the kids in their yard.

Police contacted officials Washtenaw Community Mental Health. They promised to investigate the matter.

On June 19, police were called back to the neighborhood by a Whitlock Street resident who saw the man walk behind her condo with a pair of binoculars toward the home of a young girl.

Court records do not show the man was ever charged with trespassing. Misdemeanor complaints were authorized by the city's prosecuting attorney Jesse O'Jack on July 29 and July 31.

According a Saline Police Department report, police had recently been called to help a restaurant remove him from the property. During the incident, he asked the officer if she would have sex with him.

Thank you for posting this Tran! The police should have alerted the community the day it happened. Especially since it has been habitual. As a parent, I'm very disappointed that they didn't even put an update on their Facebook page to let community members know. Protect and serve Saline PD? At least you are Tran.
