Ruth Haeussler, Mother of 3, Loved Dearly for Sense of Humor and Being a Caring Friend
Ruth Ann (Stortz) Haeussler passed away on Saturday, August 29, 2020 after a rapid decline in her health at the Evangelical Home in Saline, MI.
She was born December 31,1942 to Stephen and Alice (Davis) Stortz in Adrian, MI. Ruth will be remembered for always welcoming others into her home and community. She loved baking, playing scrabble, and euchre. She was loved dearly for her great sense of humor, sassy wit, and for being such a great, caring friend.
Ruth is survived by her three loving daughters; Alicia (Mitchell) Smith, Karen (Jason) Carrigan, and Valerie Haeussler (John Joyce) and grandchildren: Heather Mathe (Brian Joyce), Holly Smith, Robert C. Sloan IV, and great grandson Quentin Oak Joyce, and many nieces and nephews who she loved like her own children. She is preceded in death by her husband, Harold Haeussler, parents, and brothers James Stortz and Eugene Stortz.
Ruth's family and friends will gather outdoors Friday, September 4, 2020 from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 pm at the Robison-Bahnmiller Funeral Home in Saline, MI, with her memorial service to follow at 1:00 pm. Pastor Drex Morton will officiate. Private burial of her ashes will take place at St. John’s Lutheran Church Cemetery in Bridgewater, MI. Facemasks will be required for admittance to the outdoor gathering in accordance with Michigan Executive Orders.
