Out Shopping? Keep an Eye Open for These Goods Needed by Saline Area Social Service
Saline Area Social Service, which helps local individuals in financial distress with a food pantry and other services, has released its weekly shopping list.
If you're out and about shopping and you want to pitch in to help Saline Area Social Service help local residents, buy a couple extra of the following for the food pantry
- Apples
- Green Bananas
- Oranges
- Grapefruit
- Instant Pudding/Jello packages and cups
- Diced tomatoes
- Stewed tomatoes
- Tomato paste
- Pasta sauce(spaghetti, Alfredo)
- Chili beans
- Seasoning packets(chili, taco, beef stew, pot roast)
Donations can be dropped off at 224 W. Michigan Ave., Saline, 48176, on Mondays, 10 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., Tuesdays and Wednesdays, 10 a.m. to noon, and Thursdays, 10 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.
Also consider gift cards from Payless, Wal-Mart, Meijer, Speedway, BP, Mobile or Sunoco. When buying gift cards from the area gas stations, please request “fuel” gift cards, which restricts the card purchases to gasoline only.
For those seeking assistance, SASS is open Mondays, 10 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., Tuesdays and Wednesdays, 10 a.m. to noon, and Thursdays, 10 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Click here for more information.
