Around 11 a.m. Carissa Covey took to the Saline Posts Facebook group seeking help for a big turtle on the bridge over the Saline River in Saline.
She said she would have stopped to help the turtle but she had a semi-truck on following too closely behind her.
Moments later, William Shaw posted a picture of the wrinkly beast on the grass near Weller's.
Shaw, a wrecker driver for America 1 Towing in Saline, helped the turtle cross the road.
He said the turtle weighed at least 25 pounds. The shell was about 14 inches wide by 16 inches long.
When Shaw lifted the turtle, its head shot out about six inches. The turtles back claws pushed his mechanics gloves as he carried it down to the riverbank.
Heavy rain, with a high of 84 and low of 66 degrees. Don't forget your umbrella! Fog in the morning, cloudy for the afternoon, partly cloudy in the evening, clear overnight.
Appreciate the coverage provided for Saline, Tran. That said, your biases are too often evident in what you choose to point out and the language used.
The mayor literally handed out a pre-printed motion in favor of Swallow and gave it to Lesch and Ceo to read first. Ceo read it word for word as a motion. It was drafted before the interviews. They were performative in an attempt to placate the public. I have nothing against Mr.
Once again, we are going to have to agree to disagree, Libby.
