It's starting to feel like fall. The weather forecast calls for a rainy Friday. We'll see the sun Saturday, but the high will only reach 50. Sunday's temperatures will rebound to a high of 60, even if it won't be as sunny. All in all, not a bad weekend!

Jewelry and Bag Sale
What: The Saline Area Senior Center hosts its first jewerly and bag sale.
When: Presale is 3-4 p.m., Friday. Sale continues Saturday morning at 8:30.
Where: Saline Area Senior Center (behind Saline middle school.
Why: Come shop for women's purses, bags, scarves, wallets, and belts; men's ties, belts, buckles, and watches; and 14K gold, handmade Native American, fine, and costume jewelry. The center will raffle off bags by Vera Bradley, Coach, Michael Kors and Dooney & Burke.
Cost: $3 entry Friday. $2 Saturday.
Saline Farmers Market!
What: The weekly farmers market.
When: 8 a.m. to noon, Saturday.
Where: Downtown Saline (behind Benny's)
Why: Fresh produce from local farmers, lots of baked goods, starter plants, assorted cheeses and so much more.
Cost: No cost to enter.
Win Big for Kids
What: Win Big for Kids
When: 5 p.m. Saturday
Where: Saline American Legion, 320 W Michigan
Why: Saline Kiwanis presents Win Big for Kids - a prime rib dinner and reverse raffle.The top prize in the reverse raffle is $2500. All to raise events for Saline area kids programs.
Cost: Tickets are $50
Saline Area Social Service Fundraiser
What: Saline Area Social Service hosts its annual fundraiser.
When: 6:30 to 11 p.m., Saturday
Where: Washtenaw Farm Council Grounds.
Why: A cowboy-themed party, barbecue with live music, bourbon tasting and a bonfire - all in support of an organization that helps more than 300 Saline area individuals each week. BBQ from Smokehouse 52, dessert from Matty J's, appetizers and bourbon from Dan's, beer from Salt Springs Brewery.

Pittsfield Fire Department Open House
What: Pittsfield Fire Department invites the public to visit their firehall.
When: 11 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., Sunday
Where: 6227 W Michigan Ave (near Platt).
Why: Check out the trucks, watch demonstrations, spray the fire hose, meet the firefighters, learn about fire safety, and more!
Cost: Free.
Crime And Punishment in 19th Century Michigan
What: Saline Area Historical Society educational program.
When: 2 p.m., Sunday
Where: Brecon Room, Saline District Library
Why: Crime and Punishment in 19th Century Michigan is the subject of Susan Nenadic's presentation. Michigan’s first constitution was the first to prohibit the death penalty, and the state’s successful responses to issues of punishment vs reform, young, first-time offenders, and female convicts will surprise you as will some of the laws that could get people in trouble.
Cost: Free.
Muttstadon
What: Salinians and their pooches try their luck at an obstacle course contest.
When: 3 p.m. Sunday
Where: Mill Pond Park Dog Park
Why: Attention all mutts. You can run the obstacle course and meet other good smelling mutts. Please tell your human that you don't have to be good at this, it is purely a fun and social event.
