The Saline-Lindenberg Friendship Committee hosts a German Evening dinner and entertainment event Friday, Sept. 13 at the Saline American Legion, at Mill Street and Michigan Avenue.
Doors open at 6:30 p.m. and dinner is served at 7 p.m.
The menu includes sausages, Black Forest ham, spaetzle bake, red cabbage, hot German potato salad, fresh vegetables and dessert. The cost is $20 a person.

The purpose of the Saline-Lindenberg Sister City Organization is to increase community awareness of Saline's German heritage and improve international relations. The group hopes to establish longlasting personal relationships with the citizens of Lindenberg Germany.

Interesting. As the schools are funded by tax-payer dollars, "the people" paid for that report . . . . and it has to do with our public/publicly funded schools. Hard to understand why the Board is deciding to and/or thinks they can keep it private. Disappointing (to put it mildly) and concerning.
