Sophomore Emilia Little converted a penalty corner in the final minute of play to propel Saline to a 1-0 victory over Marian in varsity field hockey action Thursday night.
Little, who scored twice in Wednesday's season-opening victory, lifted the ball past the Marian goalie. Seniors Bridget Skelly and Erin Reilly assisted.
Saline put in another strong defensive effort. Abby Kleinschmidt stopped the three shots she faced and withstood late pressure to earn her second straight shutout. Saline hosts the "Border Battle" tournament Saturday with Michigan and Ohio teams.
