Many downtown shops and boutiques have extended their hours to take advantage of increased foot traffic on Thursday nights during the Salty Summer Sounds.
Saline Main Street’s weekly outdoor concerts bring many people to the downtown area, "Two very important reasons why we do these family-friendly concerts is to get the community together and to bring more business to our downtown shops and restaurants," said Saline Main Street Executive Director Holli Andrews. “We invite folks who come here for the music to take a stroll and see all the quality goods and services that Downtown Saline has to offer! It’s a good feeling to support our local businesses who are here representing the best of our small town every day.”
The purpose for extended hours is to boost sales in the local businesses and encourage people to explore all of the four corners downtown. Shops that are staying open later on Thursday nights are Carrigan Cafe, Earth Elements, McPherson Local, Cobblestone Rose, Enchanted Oven and The Cheese Shop of Saline – along with our great restaurants, too.
Salty Summer Sounds takes place each Thursday night June to August from 7 to 9 PM on Ann Arbor Street in the heart of Downtown Saline. Extended hours will vary per business.
