The Saline Area Chamber of Commerce is seeking nominations for the 2018 Business Enterprise Awards now through Wednesday, September 12, 2018. These coveted annual awards, now in their 23rd year, will honor two Saline Chamber Member businesses who have exhibited exemplary business practices in the Saline area. There are two award categories: Small Business of the Year (20 or fewer employees) and Large Business of the Year (21 or more employees). The awards not only recognize established, successful companies but also those who provide service to the community and demonstrate a commitment to the health and productivity of the Saline area business climate.

Businesses nominated for an award must meet the selection criteria and not have previously received a Business Enterprise Award in the same category. Award criteria and a list of past recipients is available on the Nomination Form and on the Chamber’s website: www.salinechamber.org.
Nominations must be received by 5:00PM on Wednesday, September 12, 2018.
The honorees for the 2018 Business Enterprise Awards will be announced on the Saline Chamber website and via media during the week of September 17, 2018. Awards will be presented at the Business Enterprise Awards Gala on Thursday, October 25, at Stonebridge Golf Club. This event is open to the public. The cost is $42 for single, $80 for a couple and $320 for a table of 8.
As we noticed the rapid deterioration and indentation of the road from all of this truck traffic, which presumably will only get worse as the weather and road surface gets warmer, we have wondered just who is responsible for the cost to repair/replace these roads?
Did anyone ask the nearby residents if they want a party palace in their neighborhood? Traffic, parking, crowds, trash, noise: was any of this considered when making this decision?
