Mayor Brian Marl today announced that he will seek reelection for a fourth term. "It's humbling, being able to serve the community that I grew up in and have called 'home' all my life,” the Mayor said. “I'm excited about the work we're doing, in particular, our focus on economic development projects, as well as growing and diversifying our tax base - which will help to ensure our community's vitality in years to come."

Mayor Pro Tem Linda TerHaar expressed her enthusiasm, stating, "I am pleased Brian has chosen to seek re-election. His deep and energetic commitment to seeking the best for Saline benefits our whole community."

Marl has been a lifelong Saline community resident, and served four years on Saline City Council before first being elected Mayor in 2012.

Former City Council Member and retired business owner David Rhoads shared his support for Mayor Marl. "I wholeheartedly endorse Brian Marl for another term as Mayor of Saline," Rhoads said. "It was my pleasure to work with him during my time on City Council, and I have found Brian to be not only open to new ideas and methods, but also able to carry them through to completion. Brian Marl is the best person to continue to lead our city in the coming years."

Downtown business owner and Saline MainStreet Board Chair Jill Durnen added, "Brian has a strong vision for our community, one that is thriving through economic development and growth but in a consistent and sustainable fashion. He thinks strategically and always treats his constituents fairly, and I see him leading Saline to great things in the future."
