Saline police have tied another larceny from a vehicle to two Milan men arrested for allegedly breaking into vehicles and garages early in the morning March 15.
Seth Jacob Cartwright, 18, was arraigned before Washtenaw County District Court Judge Cedric Simpson March 16 on the felony charge of carrying a concealed weapon. The probable cause conference was scheduled for March 27. Kenneth Westley Moore, 17, was arraigned before in front of the same judge March 16 on the charge of receiving and concealing stolen property, less than $200. His pre-trial hearing is scheduled for May 1.
While following up on property recovered from one of the suspect’s vehicles, police found items belonging to a Whitmore Lake man. The items were stolen from his vehicle while it was parked on Clark Street. The man told police he didn’t report the theft because he felt it was his fault for failing to lock his doors.
Officers from the Saline Police Department were dispatched early in the morning to the southeast part of town, near Eastlook Drive, after a woman and her husband looked out their window and saw two men on bicycles riding up to vehicles and checking door handles. Sgt. Jay Basso found two males on bicycles turning onto Forestbrook Ct. He then found the bicycles on a front lawn on Forestbrook. As Sgt. Basso and Officer John Belknap searched the area, Officer Jeff Flynn spotted an SUV pulling off Springbrook Court, so he checked on the subjects in the vehicle.
Sgt. Basso found a gun while searching the vehicle. The gun was reported stolen out of Monroe County.
Everyone loves the beginning.
Moderate rain, with a high of 57 and low of 34 degrees. Patchy rain nearby for the morning, overcast during the afternoon and evening, patchy rain nearby overnight.
Disagree with Dillon's assessment of Girbach and relieved that Council voted otherwise regarding appointments.
Denial of maintenance is a bit of a canard.
Girbach and Dillon and many other were under the understanding that the most recent "study" of the feasibility of the Rec Center was exactly that. Instead, they were given a report that was nothing but a "if you build it, they will come" request for money.
Disagree with your assessments. That said, if you believe the process was flawed well . . . . perhaps, again, you should be looking at Girbach as he was involved in the process (don't know what, if any other Council members were).
