Joseph W. Martin, age 33, of Milan, died Wednesday, October 4, 2017 unexpectedly. He was born on February 24, 1984 at St. Joseph Mercy Hospital to Michael Karapas and Missy (Martin) Norris.
Joe enjoyed hunting, fishing, golfing, baseball, football and kayaking. He worked as a landscaper and could mow the perfect lawn.
He is survived by his father, Michael (Cindy) Karapas, mother, Missy Norris, siblings, Keri Norris, Amber Norris, Travis Norris, Amara Karapas and Nicholas Karapas, maternal grandfather, William Martin, paternal grandparents, Nick and Irene Karapas, girlfriend, Sara Heldt, her children, Heidi and Lily, and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.
He is preceded in death by his maternal grandmother, Garnet Martin, and step-father, Randy Norris.
A memorial visitation will be held at Ochalek-Stark Funeral Home, Milan on Friday, October 13th from 11:00am until time of service at 1:00pm. Following, there will be a celebration of Joe's life and a luncheon at the Milan Road Angels Club House, 13220 Petersburg Rd., Milan, MI. These is a committee comprised of several members including members of City Council that was charged with and that did narrow the selec
In the live interview following the closed session, Mayor Marl actually addressed the candidates as “his choices;” stating that council “agreed with him.” Tran did repeat those words back to Marl for clarification and Mark said it again.
It makes no sense to have a close session to keep applicants private since the applicants are now public. All of those in consideration, have made their intentions already known to the public and the community at large.
