Saline High School graduate Taybor Pepper has rejoined the Green Bay Packers.
Packers GM Ted Thompson announced the team signed Pepper, a 6’4, 245-pound rookie long snapper on Monday. The Packers placed long snapper Brett Goode on injured reserve.
Earlier this year, Pepper signed a three-year contract with the Packers. But he was cut after what he felt was a strong showing in camp. Pepper plugged away in the weight room, helping Saline High School’s long snappers during his free time.
Pepper caught a break at the end of the NFL preseason when the Baltimore Ravens gave him the chance to play in an NFL preseason game. The opportunity provided Pepper with valuable game film.
After graduating from Saline High School, Pepper was long snapper at Michigan State University for four years.
